About this product
The SMT Golf Indio Offset Driver is designed to reduce slices with its offset head and low center of gravity. It features a 10.5° loft, regular flex SMT Bassara graphite shaft, and 45.5-inch length. The club is right-handed and weighs 2 lbs. The offset design encourages a closed face at impact to promote a draw. Suitable for game improvement, this driver aims to help golfers hit straighter, high-launch drives.
Our take
I tried the SMT Indio Offset Driver hoping to cure my slice, and it definitely helped. The offset head really does promote a draw, and the 10.5° loft launches the ball high. The graphite shaft feels decent, though a bit whippy. It's not the most premium driver, but for $109, it's a good tool for slicers. My complaints: the sound is a bit tinny, and the finish looks cheap. Also, if you already hit a draw, this could turn into a hook. Overall, it serves its purpose for a specific problem.
